Postcard Express: Capturing Public Health Innovations

Gender Equality Postcard Contest

Theme: Gender Equality

Objective:

Create postcards visually representing innovative public health solutions or ideas, showcasing creativity in addressing public health challenges.

Eligibility:

Open to Undergraduate (UG) students.

Submission Guidelines:

  • Postcards must be in A6 size (148 x 105 mm).
  • Digital submissions should be high-resolution (300 DPI) and in JPEG or PNG format.
  • Include a brief (100-150 words) description explaining the idea.

Evaluation Criteria:

  • Creativity in design and concept.
  • Relevance to the theme.
  • Clarity in conveying the public health message.

Outcome:

Selected postcards will be displayed at the conference, and winners will receive awards.

Reel Competition: 45 Seconds for Public Health

Public Health Video Contest

Theme:

  • Waste Management
  • Mental Health

Objective:

Create a short, engaging 30-second video (reel) that delivers a powerful public health message or campaign idea.

Eligibility:

Registered UG and PG students interested in public health advocacy through multimedia.

Submission Guidelines:

  • Video uploaded in MP4 format.
  • Maximum length: 30 seconds.
  • Clear audio and video quality required (720p or higher).

Content Guidelines:

  • The video must present a clear public health message or campaign idea.
  • It can include narration, captions, animations, or music to enhance communication.

Evaluation Criteria:

  • Clarity and impact of the public health message.
  • Creativity and originality.
  • Adherence to time limit.

Outcome:

Winning reels will be showcased during conference sessions, and winners will receive recognition on social media platforms.

Photography Contest: The Faces of Public Health

Palliative Care Photography Contest

Theme: Palliative Care

Objective:

Capture images that depict the importance of Palliative care — community outreach, healthcare workers, or public health initiatives.

Eligibility:

PG Students registered for the conference.

Submission Guidelines:

  • High-resolution photographs (minimum 3000 x 2000 pixels).
  • In JPEG format, with a short caption (50-100 words) describing the story behind the image.

Content Guidelines:

  • Photos should highlight the human element of public health.
  • Images must be original work, with appropriate permissions for any recognizable individuals.

Evaluation Criteria:

  • Visual impact and storytelling.
  • Relevance to public health.
  • Technical quality (focus, lighting, composition).

Outcome:

Top entries will be featured in a gallery at the conference and could be used in promotional materials. These competitions are designed to engage participants in creative and impactful ways, while highlighting key public health issues.

Public Health Jingle Contest

Theme:

  • Lifestyle Diseases
  • Public Health Nutrition

Objective:

Create a catchy jingle that promotes a public health message or campaign. Use music and creativity to spread important health messages in an engaging way.

Eligibility:

UG Students registered for the conference.

Submission Guidelines:

  • Audio or video recordings of the jingle of 30 seconds.

Outcome:

Winning jingles could be played during the conference or used in public health campaigns.
